Coochee Coochee Coooooooo!!! I'm one of those chickadeez who goes ga-ga at babies, doggies, cats, bunnies...damn it even little baby lizards (i kid u not!! )
But yesterday on my way to da ladies room at work, i passed a pet store...my heart absolutely breakz seein those animals locked up behind those glass windows ...and then i saw it...this absolutely adorable Jack Russell puppy- one white ear, one light-brown ear, brown patch on one eye, and all bouncy and waggin his/her lil tail...it was so damn cute, i thought i was gonna cry ...i wanted to take it home!! What is your stance on pets bought from a pet store? Generally I know people tend to prefer buying them from litters of their owners (not necessarily breeders though) or the lost animal home. Just a passin' hi there No hablo espanol,no!
Pero hablo ingles..ssii muy muy bien... "Come into my world..." Missy Quote of da Month: "yeah, sure, that's cool...wait WHAT?! "

I know banana posted some horrible links about what happens to pet store pets.
On the one hand your saving this critter, on the other your supporting the store. Is it a chain store or independent? Now I'm older than movies, Now I'm wiser than dreams, And I know who's there

pet stores often take animals from the usually overcrowded shelters and sell them in conjunction with the shelter
quite frankly, I don't care where my next pet comes from...all that matters is that I gave a fellow living creature a home and the love they deserve...

Just a passin' hi there personally, as much as I love animals and go all materanal, it tears my heart out to see them behind glass and cages in pet stores ...a friend of the family owns two of them and I haven't been in either My Dad and stepmum have had a HUGE number of pets over the years and still do - right now they have 1 jersey cow, 2 horses, 4 dogs (3 pups and an adult), 2 cats, an avery full of birds and that's not counting all the wildlife they have around thier property...I'm very proud to say that of all the animals they've had over the years only the 3 pups were bought (not from a pet store, either, tho) - the rest were rescued (I won't even go into the various stories )

I've always felt sad seein animals in pet stores. It seemz they are kept on da premises overnight. THey seem disregarded and treated insignicantly, i just wanna take em all home! My doggy Tommy who I had for 12 yearz, was bought from a little animal farm on holidays at the Grampians when i was six. Actually some friends of my friend's bro rescued this lil kitten found in a drain. Poor lil thing, i had it on my chest and u could full on feel it's lil heart beat...it was like it was so fragile it, it trusted you, but it was incredibly nervous. So sad. Right back atcha darlz!! If you really want it that much regardless of where you get the puppy you are giving him a wonderful life that he doesn't have without a loving home. They all deserve loving homes no matter where thay are from even if it means in essence supporting a pet store. It isn't the animals fault that it ended up in a pet store
