Do you dream of snakes, twins, cemeteries, or fruit?

Snakes are symbolic of treachery and indicate you are leery of imminent betrayal

Twins are symbolic of two sides of the same idea and are a reminder to approach your life with balance and care

Dreaming of a cemetery suggests that you are mentally preparing yourself for a drastic new phase of your life

Dreaming of fruit, especially when it's ripe, indicates that all of your hard work will soon be ready to be "harvested"

What does it mean when you dream of kissing someone? A few nights ago I had the pleasure of kissing 3 different men at 3 different times in my dream. They were short kisses, but on the mouth and one included tongue. redface They were very nice and more like greetings or something... I have no idea who these men were... just people I randomly met in my dream.

confuse

Yesterday i went to go see my mom, and she started preaching about how my homosexuality is the work of the devil and what not, and that she's still praying for me to get straight. Good Luck with that...anyway, i came home and took a nap and had this dream that i was in a garage or something with my mom and stepdad, and this HUGE anapythonconda type mofocker came out of nowhere and just started chasing me. Then my mom and step dad were trying to get me out of the garage but there wasn't a door anywhere. Then i woke up, and the first thing that came to my mind was how satan was a snake in the garden of eden. So i came and looked on my online dictionary and it said "The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality." and this is how I interpreted it. My parents see my sexuality as "forbidden", i don't. hence, them trying to fight it, and it coming after me. And i think the snake was coming after me like it belonged to me or something, not trying to hurt me. And the snake was HUGE...goodness. But i think it was saying that no amount of anything can change who I am....and if anybody tries, a huge snake will snack on their meat and two veg. Handulasaih, Gaymen. pray

I had a dream about Jews and Italians. It took place a long time ago, maybe 40's and they and I were trying to escape the planes that were dropping bombs on us. I felt one fall on me,but it didn't hurt. Scary dream though

Tornadoes in dreams consistently represent fears of separation from our families. I often wonder if this is because so many of us, in the USA, grew up watching “The Wizard of Oz” (where Dorothy is separated from her family by a tornado). Or if it, more likely, is due to the fact that, during a tornado, our immediate thoughts and concerns are to locate and assure the safety of our families - as soon as possible.

Tornadoes also are sudden storms. They are hard to predict, and the devastation that trails in their wake is severe. Accordingly, torndoes also can symbolize “violent” and “unpredictable” events in our lives - and personalities that we know.

This made me wonder, does dream symbolism change as society change?, or are the symbols universal for the human race.

"The spider is usually symbolic of an unkind and sneaky individual. Are you the spider building a web, or are you being dragged into one? A spider's web represent[s] entanglement and the general complexities of life. Depending on the details of the dream, it could also be symbolic of a smothering individual in your daily life." In my own spider dreams, I don't find this to be the case. Usually, they are more consistent with Carl Jung's interpretation (also from thecrypt.ca), "a symbol of wholeness due to its circular shape. He called circular symbols 'mandalas' and said that they had valuable meaning for the dreamer. The spider and his web may be calling for an integration of the dream[er]'s personality leading to greater self-awareness and resulting in feelings of completeness. Therefore, the spider and his web may be considered profound and spiritual dream symbols which call for greater self-understanding and encourage us to derive meaning and satisfaction from the intricate framework and interplay of life." Spiders, to me, have represented a deepening of a sense of connection to the world, a physical and psychological symbol of the "string theory" of quantum mechanics. Everything is, in some way, connected.

There's no web in my dreams. just many spiders surrounding me, then slowly crawling on me. that's where the dream ends
