Who watched ALIAS Season 4 premiere last nite? Who caught the 2-hour ALIAS Season 4 premiere last nite? I taped it and watched it later on in the night because of evening work. Have to say it is just like ALIAS of old and I am so glad it's back on the air after a, what?, 7-month, nearly 8-month layoff?
I don't care for the Wednesday nite move but it had to be done since Desperate Housewives moved into the 9pm sunday slot when ABC moved some things around. Love the fact that it started in the new year and for the next 20-some weeks it will be in serial form and non-repeating, just in consecutive airing. ALIAS is back and in true form. This will be another great season. Now onto the season 4 premiere of 24 Sunday and Monday, Jan. 9-10, on FOX. But boy oh boy, I'm working both nights and I have to plug in two tapes on Sunday -- one to catch 24 and the other to catch Prince on the People's Choice Awards. I can handle it. Hell yes I watched it. When I die, I want to be reincarnated as Sydney Bristow.

i like it that angela bassett is the new (kinda sorta) boss. the way everyone was brought back was cheesy. the arvin sloane bit is really hard to swallow. i hope there's something more to that, because it's kind of dumb. the thing about syd's mom (i won't spoil it) is kinda dumb, too. i hope they get the truth of this whole little plotline out of the way early on, because the suspense is more annoying than delicious. MORE RAMBALDI!!! and there was a noticeable absence of roundhouse kicks last night. i'd rate it three out of five wigs.

There is a lot to be revealed! I know Rambaldi will be back because of Nadia and Sloane ripping off that last artifact. The thing that was annoying to me was that Syd lied to Nadia about what happened with their mom and Jack. It was so out of character for her!

What i don't get (and I will be out of way spoiler for those who have not seen it) but the last time we saw Lena Olin grace the screen was on 2002 at the end of Season 2. She was all over Season 2, likely because of her husband, Ken Olin. But from what we all know, or those in the ALIAS circle know, Lena does not want to return or won't return until something is offered, or whatever. The whole suspense cliffhanger was eventually centered around this and it pisses me off that they could do that so early on. But at the same time this is ALIAs and anything can happen. How much can J.J. Abrams take us down the rabbit hole? I think there are a lot of tunnels and avenues to explore. This is some great espionage TV. But, hey, this is only the first two episodes (or does it count for one?) and a lot of twists and turns and revalations will come to focus as the season unfolds. Personally, I believe Irina is still alive. And we have not seen the last of her sister, Katya. Oh, what a tangled web this is, that is why I love it so. J.J. really spins a complicated yarn and I am looking forward to his take on Mission Impossible 3 on the big screen.

I did not get to see this. I taped it though. We were watching Lost and my friends BF doen't like us to even watch that (Usually has some movie on or something) when he heard about the Alias thing he wasn't happy (we just wanted to see 30 min of it to see if it was good or not). Looks like I may have to move Wed nights to my house...and kick out my BF who doesn't wanna watch that stuff either So I'll watch some when I get home, and the work on music (with friends BF), and then watch the rest after. and of course not read this thread anymore. regarding lena olin - believe it or not, she's NOT ken olin's wife (someone told me they're not related at all, though i've never really checked into that), and lena olin left the show because they wouldn't pay her "sharon stone money" (referring to sharon stone's stint on "the practice", which happened at around the same time). kinda silly, because even though lena olin's cool as hell, she doesn't exactly merit "sharon stone money" in my opinion...and kinda sucky, because you can tell the show really REALLY needs her back in the cast...so maybe she DOES warrant sharon stone money after all...?

It was so out of character for her! Maybe it's a cover-maybe her sister has some secrets as well. I really enjoyed it-although the ending did seem a little cheesy. I miss Lena Olin, but I think with or without her, this season could shape up to be great. (I agree with Anx's rating-can you give half a wig though?)
