We are currently getting a break from a freezing rainstorm we've been having in the MPLS area for the past hours. It's an AWFUL morning here. My BF typically leaves for work around 6:45. I heard him in the house when I got up at 7ish. He had tried to go to work but turned around after a block. The rain was freezing so quickly that he couldn't keep his windows cleared even after warming up his car for 20 minutes.

I realized I'm silly. I live about 1.5 miles from my work. I didn't have any appointments today, so I didn't really need my car. But, I drove in anyways. From the time I left my house to the time I got to work, it took me 45 minutes. I could've walked to work in 15 minutes...Of course my ice scraper broke half-way through cleaning off my car. Once on the road, I never went above 10 mph.

woot! YAAAY WINTER!!! woot!

Yeah we all noticed it. We're just slowly regaining consciousness from the utter awe of the thing.

Severe weather alert, as usual...

State College, PA, USA

Temp: 9 degrees F
Realfeel: 9 degrees F
Humidity: 47%
Wind: WNW at 12 mph

Last night we made the 15 minute walk to the video store and were wrapped head to toe in anything warm we could find. We were still so cold we barely made it there and back. It must have been well below zero last night. And yet no matter how much it snows, it either doesn't stick, or it magically disappears and the temperature just gets lower... Looks like it's going to be a cold and snowless Christmas here.

Freezing rain is the worst! Especially when it's black ice on the expressway. And especially when it snows on top of it. I nearly got killed on my way back from Toronto last year driving in conditions just like these. The more time goes by, the more I hate winter!

Gold as hell today.

50 F degrees for the high.

I haven't been able to go to the beach in two weeks.

I can't wait till March when summer begins.
