Should I have a New Years Eve Party?

There are all sorts of do-da's happenng out there this year but i kinda want to have one at my house. it's a studio apt (just small and big enuff to cram thrity ppl in here and have a big ol boogie!)
instead of paying like $50 bux to go to some place where drunk ppl are gonna vomit on your shoe and the music will suck, why not have a party at mine!

I've thrown a few New Years parties myself and they were the best parties I've ever had. Go for it!

ah the voice of reason. yes so have i. in London for the Notting Hill carnival, i threw the best parties in Notting Hill. of course,it helped that i lived on the carnival route but they were great all the same. i mean, how cool could it be if i had 20 ppl in my small room singing along to the chorus of Pussy Control?

YAY! That's the spirit!

Once upon a time I lived in a 4-plex that had a gigantic basement. My roomie and me threw a New Year's party for y2k with one of our downstairs neighbors and had about 200 people there. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We had DJs and lights and a TV screen for Dick Clark (though no sound on that) and a make out room and everything. giggle And since we could keep it mostly contained in the unfinished basement there wasn't much mess or damage to our actual apartment. I miss those days. sad

GO out and party--staying home is no fun--becuase you have to host.

My mom is flying down this year, and I have to spend F@CKING new years with family.

Let me tell--that shit kills me.

(sigh)

Yes, but sometimes there's nothing better then looking around a room full of people knowing you planned and provided the PERFECT night of fun.
