REDFEATHERS

Please Help Fight Breast Cancer

I got this email today and if I could forward it onto ten friends, and they do the same, clicking on the website helps to a worthy cause.

Even better, I thought - post it on the Org! biggrin

The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman.

It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle). This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising!

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

You may have got more reads and clicks (the important bit) than you did replies. I for instance did my click, and I wasn't going to bother replying on the basis that you wouldn't want your thread filled up with "Me Too"'s.
But seeing as you're moaning about it lol Me Too!
I have a list of these daily clicks I do (Race for the rainforest etc.) so I have added this one and will be clicking daily from now on.

Steadwood's right, this should be a sticky.

wave Good thing Redfeathers!

We work for breast (and other) cancer research thumbs up!
In Holland if someone under 50 (or more people over 50) in your family has had breast cancer you automatically get put in a program to check and get a mammogram every 2 years or 6 months (depends on the percentage of risk)
This is covered by the health insurance (and everybody that has a job or other income automatically gets a health insurance).

But if we can help people overthere by clicking a link everyday we will biggrin hug

Yeah, this is a good thread biggrin I always try to donate to Breast Cancer foundations and participate in the walk-a-thons whenever they have them. Eating Yoplait yogurt/smoothies helps too.....you kill two birds with one stone. Good healthy yogurt, plus whenever you save the lids and mail them off, the proceeds go towards a cure for breast cancer. Last year I collected approx. 278 lids eek So far this year it looks like I'm gonna top that woot! I'm goin' for 365 lids.
