The Death Penalty is absolutely neccesary for evil monsters like Scott Peterson.

it's awfully convenient when we can take pleasure in someone's execution, isn't it? it's kinda like when the murderer takes pleasure in his killings, only our pleasure is justified and we don't have to get our hands bloody. not literally, anyway.

I have NO sympathy for a guy who would brutally kill his pregnant wife and throw her in the ocean on Christmas Eve.Imo,they should execute him TODAY.

and that would bring comfort to your life how? it sounds like you and scott peterson have some things in common - the death of someone else bringing you happiness and all.

No,it wouldn't bring me "happiness",but I would be more pissed knowing that this evil idiot is still alive,in prison, getting fed everyday and having a roof over his head, while poor Laci and his unborn son are six feet under.I'm sorry, but a person that evil just doesn't deserve to live.Let the execution begin! He didn't care about the lives he took,so why should I care about HIS life?

He's gonna fry like Amber.

I'm sure his people will appeal it.

Amber? OK.

Amber Frye, his mistress.

Assuming that he is guilty.... Didn't he have options, like DIVORCE??? Or, did he not want to pay alimony and child support? confused It couldn't have been that he was afraid to hurt Laci, emotionally, could it? "I hate to break your heart, Laci, darling, so I'm just gonna kill you."

Anybody remember Gary Gilmore? He chose death by firing squad.

It's sad that he didn't tell Laci in her face that he's been cheating, so he killed her that way he wouldn't deal with the family knowing about it.

I still think the death penalty is way too over the top. Not to start a confrontation with anybody like I'm siding with this guy ir sumthing, but... Why are people complaining that if the guy would be given life without parole, that the person will be fed and stuff, as if you'll see the person everyday....the guy is NOT I repeat, not going to be given a "hotel" treatment or sumthing, and plus, HE WILL NOT BE BAILED OUT, NO EXCEPTIONS. I mean, at least the prison will make him THINK and learn a lesson that he will be learning day to day, for the REST of his LIFE!! Just think.... if he gets executed, do you really think he'll learn his lesson....in his GRAVE?!? I don't think so. Keep him alive, so that he will remember his horrible mistake for the rest of his life, and he will realize the reality truth that he's in jail for what he did for the remainder of his life and never get it off his conscience. Don't think just because this guy is a muderer doesn't mean he got no conscience....they would be lying if they said that they don't, or that people say they don't. Just think about.

If you don't understand, read again, kindly.nod

Tell me, which would mean more sense of a punishment to you??

not as easy as that. its not quite like shawshank.

remember how long dahmer lasted in prison? not for nothin', but i have family who works for the department of corrections and i've heard a lot of tales. for better or for worse, it actually CAN be as easy as that...especially if they want it to be.

So you think its ok to get killed in prison as opposed to an execution? If your appalled by one then you should be equally appalled by the other. I wouldnt take "joy" in his death, but i sure as hell wouldnt lose any sleep over that sob getting gassed.
(Insert something clever here)

I look at this with a different perspective than most people, I am not emotional charged by this as a lot of people are.

I find it fascinating that a guilty verdict was reached based largely on circumstanial evidence, I'm not saying that I don't think Scott Peterson guilty. I think he is guilty, but there is no smoking gun in this case. For me when Peterson tried to cross the border in to Mexico with $15,000 in cash that was an admission of guilt.

The other thing that is fascinating about this case is California does not hand out a lot of Death sentences, it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

If it were me , and I had to choose between life in prison or death I'd take death.

I'm watching the Laci Peterson story right now on the E channel. I cannot believe that Scott would lie to Laci and to everyone he knows, have an affair with another woman, then wind up murdering his wife and unborn baby, dumping Laci's body into the ocean, and not even show ANY emotion or remorse for what he did. All's I can say is, Scott is a cold blooded killer, and he deserves to die in the most horrific way possible. At the beginning of the story, I thought Scott was a nice guy (as everybody did). But as the story progressed, I just find myself getting more and more disgusted with Scott, and wishing that son of a bitch was dead. I am sooo glad that Scott got the death sentence, since a lifetime sentence would not have been enough, IMHO. The more I hear about stories like this, it makes me damn glad that I'm not married.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Don't forget, he changed his hair color and grew a goatee, too! The idiot!

Maybe he'll spend 15-20 years on death row being someone else's Amber Frye! Please drop the soap, Scott!
