We must be one of the lucky ones.... the rich family at the top of our road have a TV... (it's a bit cumbersome mind), and on Sundays they let all the other poorer families pop round to watch Music Hall... sigh maybe one day.....

Hey, I might have a stop in London before I go to the US, did they invent the telephones yet? I want to call to say I've landed safely.

We might just as well have pigeons!!

After all these years we still get our mail delivered by postmen and women on bicycles for crying out loud!!!!!

When we lived in the USA, we got our mail delivered 2 us in armoured trucks!!!

Doesnt the Royal Mail realize that these postmen and women are delivering valuable mail, like CDs, DVDs, peoples cheques and other valuables, that in some cases CANNOT b replaced?????

So you'd rather live in a country where your postmen are driving aromoured trucks because it's not safe to be on the streets? I don't quite get that point hmmm

true but at least we have letterboxes unlike the US suberbs who have those postboxes where people can steal shit outta them! I live in East Anglia (Norfolk, which is like the equivilent of hillbilly county and we get piss taking out of us 4 our accents- I don't have one!) and our post is the worst in the country apparantly, so is our public transport!

There have been many occasions where I have ordered things online and paid for it and everything and yet lived in fear of it never arriving, because its got stolen or by chance its got lost in transit, for example fallen out of the bikes sack!! lol lol lol

It actually happened 2 me a few weeks ago, when I ordered something from Virgin online and it never arrived even though they said that they had despatched it on the 16/11/04!!

I am almost convinced it got stolen or lost!!!

Oh? well I've ordered a LAPTOP which was shipped from the US. it was supposed to arrive in up to 2-3 business days. I waited about 2 months before I got it, because the US postal services sent it to the wrong address.
There's your armoured truck postal service for you.

Thats happened to me before too. And if u r not home to collect say ur cd, tey ask u to collect it 24 hours later at some far off post office where u have youcue up for it for hours! If its a cd package then it is big enough to fit through the letter box u dumb postman! Or give it to the nieghbour 4 christs sake! This keeps happening to me!

And the custom charge kinda sucks too
