It's Official - Britain Is On A Retro Trip

Just recently, I've been noticing that a lot of nostalgic pasttimes have steadily grown more popular in this country again.

Here's the evidence...

1. Ballroom Dancing

One of the highest-rated shows in the UK recently has been a ballroom dancing show called Strictly Come Dancing. It's been scheduled head-to-head with a talent show called The X-Factor which featured Simon Cowell and Sharon Osborne as judges. The finale of the show was watched by 11.2 million viewers as opposed to the X-Factor's 9.9 million viewers. Strictly Come Dancing was hosted by Bruce Forsyth whom is about 110 years old...

2. Retro Games' Sales Rise

A major department store, John Lewis, has reported that Buckaroo is it's second biggest-selling toy this Christmas. Other retro board games are flying off the shelves too...

3. Londoners Open Roller Discos

I don't think it's so odd that a roller disco is opening in London - there's probably a few scattered across the country... I'm just surprised that it's made the pages of a news website.

? Music wise it is crapper then ever. Britpop came and went and now its "anti boyands" like Busted, McCrap etc.....

Unfortunately that dickhead Robbie Williams is still very popular! WHO KEEPS BUYING HIS MUSIC? At least Americans told him to fuck off, as Americans told him to get lost back to england, he is now constantly everywhere again in the UK!

It would not be England without moaning unforunately. Too many grey sky's and very long working hours and windy roads dampen our spirits. T

At least we do not get chat show hosts who use exactly the same backdrops and formula for over 20 years. And chat show hosts that have been on the same show forever! Don't Americans get bored with that unfunny fat guy Jay Leno? Oooooo those monologues r so risque arn't they?
