Have you ever bumped into someone famous (or semi-famous, or infamous)?

Have you ever bumped into someone well known unexpectedly?

I saw Johnny Vegas today at a Craft Fair at Knebworth House. (Sorry non-Brits - I don't think he's known outside of this country). He's shaved his beard and was wearing an old tan leather jacket.

He was being filmed for some reason and didn't look very happy (I couldn't figure out whether he was shouting as part of the filming, or getting annoyed with the crew).

A few weeks ago I saw Janine from Eastenders in Henlow and last year I did an aerobics class with Bianca (Patsy Palmer) who seemed really miserable.

Four years ago I saw Rory McGrath at Cambridge Festival and he was kinda cool.

Haven't really 'bumped' into anyone but Morris Hayes at PP, when I stepped on his foot by mistake. but I've heard he's famous for bumping people.

But I did meet Shimon Peres when I recerded a private interview with him.

Well, some actors of two Finnish soaps come often to the library where I work. Yesterday I saw one quite famous actor and director of a theatre as I was having dinner with my workmates in a nice restaurant.

I used to work at a grocery store and rang up purchases for Tiny Tim and Loni Anderson. And for any Mpls orgers who have the unfortunate experience of remembering the horrid local talk show Good Company, I made yogurt sundaes for both Steve and Sharon and those two were complete and utter arses.

If we're talking strctly bumping into without intention of seeing someone, we saw Tracy Ulman in Paddington Station in London when we were waiting for our train to go to Glasto.
And Prince used to come into the movie theatre I managed many years ago. I was all star struck. Every time. I held the door open for him once and he said thanks and I couldn't even choke out a "you're welcome". doh!

OMGosh ~ funny you should say that...he opened a door and literally walked into me the first time I was at Paisley, and then a few years later he was standing right next to me and elbowed me in the head (he tall, I'm short...it's a hazard smile )

I think you told me that one.(I think) He was signing autographs somewhere and he signed something for you....I think. It would be awesome if I could meet him. He seems like a very nice guy.

I literally ran into both Tommy B and Sonny T at Paisley Park one night. I saw Sonny a few years later at a bar he was playing at in downtown MPLS (Bisquits & Blues) and stopped him after the show to chat and get an autograph. biggrin

I met Tim Rice at my uncle's 50th birthday party. Come to think of it, my uncle lives near Tim Henman and Michael Ball and we've seen them, and also Lulu, around Barnes.

My brother's a film critic. He bumped into Quentin Tarantino in the gents at Quentin's brother's bar. He said it was awkward. big grin

Bruce Springsteen in Neiman Marcus Atlanta last Tuesday. We were shopping the men's presale together for about 20 mins. He tried on a $198 t-shirt, but didn't buy it. I didn't say anything because I didn't think it was him, but as he left the store he was surrounded by people wanting to shake his hand.
Socks still got butt like a leather seat...
