this thing looks horrible....a white ghost (ala the rings) creeping up on the family as they are climbing up the roof? wha what the @!%?

interesting that they are using the same score as the original (the score originally written for The Exorcist but then passed on by Friedkin for the bells theme).

and for anyone associated with this film to make the claim that this thing was anything but a hoax is a crime...the dofeo family are grifters plan and simple...and they have been riding this train for way to long.....

That's gotta be one of the poorest excuses for a trailer i've ever seen.

Read the book - true or not, it's 10 times scarier than the film, I assure you.

I never knew that! Interesting. Im glad he passed on it though, the bells theme is more intense.

I thought the family admitted years ago that they had lied. This remake looks awful.

Actually, they haven't admitted to lying. I just saw some special in October on the History Channel. It was their first televised interview in 20 years, and they still contend that what happened was very real. They explain away the fact that none of this has happened to any of the subsequent tenants because they were practicing "transcendental meditation," which opened them up to spirits.

rolleyes

They also say that they never have - and never will - tell anyone what happened that final night that made them ultimately flee the house. I'm guessing some of these ghosts they saw were actually tax collectors. Broke ass mo' fuckas!

thats it right there.....they bought that house cause it was on the cheap and still couldnt afford it....they never made a single mortgage payment....and when the first payment was due, oopsies....GHOSTS!!

and lets not forget the son who killed the original family was a big meth head and was on an all night binge with his sister and friends...he and his sister hated their date and plotted the whole thing over booze and drugs....possessed my arse...
