What do you think about Dr. Doom and The Thing? I think the casting of Chiklis is truly inspired, and I like MOST of the costume (those brows do bug me though). Doom just looks great, to me.

Doom looks cool.

Chiklis? I'm not familiar with his work, but from a few small clips I've seen, he looks like he'll pull it off.

The only thing I don't like about his make-up is the eyebrows. They should've went for that squared off, more familiar look.

wow. at least Doom looks decent.

she's not overexposed YET. give it some damn time. She's been in commercials and shit...isn't that how Bayawnsay started her overexposure??

But unlike "Bayawnsay," Jessica has some real talent, and doesn't have to try to be sexy.

I don't read a lot of FF comics either, but I do know them and their history. I appreciate Marvel, and I don't mind the tweaks they've made on their characters. Some for the better... Spider-Man having his own web fluid, as opposed to having to create a web-shooter.

Now DC on the other hand... pissed I hate the new Batman costume, and the new Superman movie picking up from where Superman 2 left off... WTF???

Make a whole, brand new Superman movie. Without the origin of course, we all now where Superman came from.

Actually, the whole "picking up where Superman 2 left off" thing is a bit of an overstatement on the producer's part. Singer has elaborated that it will be in that spirit, but not a direct sequel. In reality, the movie will be set up in such a way that it could be in the original film series' continuity, or Smallville's, or the animated series', etc. In other words, it is a stand-alone Superman story. Singer has hinted that they may do a "storyboard" style referencing to his origin over the credits (much like Spider-Man 2 did with the Alex Ross paintings), but that is the extent to which it will make any appearance in the film. The designs of things like the Fortress Of Solitude will be based on the Donner original, so there is a nod to the past films, but it won't be bound up in those films' storylines. It is highly unlikely there will be any references to General Zod, the "Super-memory-taking-kiss" or any of that. Rumour has it, the film starts off with Superman having been missing for a few years, and the threat of Braniac forces him to return.

Well, as far as Sue Storm goes... it's questionable.

I think Desise Richards or Rachel McAdams would've made a more cosmetically correct Sue.

But seeing Jessica in those blue tights... I'm starting to overlook the fact that she is hispanic, and the comic character is white.

Bingo. Alba-Spanish. Richards-White. That's what's not making sense to me. Come the fuck on for real. Just go ahead and fuck the movie up. I don't read FF any, i just like Marvels comic movies that they started kicking out. She looks like some fucking teenager. What the hell? And then have Mr.'Tastic looking like a grown ass man, Jesus Christ....

I agree, they have made her look awfully young, at least in the promos. Maybe she'll at least look like she's in her twenties in the film (which would be appropriate for their origin). As for Reed, he and Ben are suppossed to be several years older than Sue and Johnny, so him looking older doesn't bother me. Its just that, like you said, Sue shouldn't look like a teenager.
