If a bear attacks me, I'd be very surprised, since there are no bears where I live.
So yes, I'd wonder why it travelled so far just to attack me.

I don't make life easy for myself. But then I am only human and sometimes my heart rules my head.

The bear thing: I'd think I was between a mommybear and her baby.

The point is, of course, that upon being attacked by a bear, people would likely act instinctively by running.

Were it the same in every day life, where we needlessly mull and chew over every thing we do, we might find life is not so complicated at all.

Life is only as complicated as you make it...The less drama the better I am.

Acting on instinct could never be called as such or it wouldn't be instinct. The suggestion that it is noble and strong would make it seem calculated rather than spontaneous. The very point of it is that it is unknowing and instinctive.

This is when I think we are at our best. You say we sometimes think too little, but thinking very rarely achieves anything. It's rare that someone can have a problem, and by thinking alone, solve it. If you don't have the solution I can't imagine u could simply sit and think and have it suddenly appear in your brain. Action is more like that not what would provide the solution.
