Today the Mayor and 2 showgirls lit the Vegas official Christmas tree at the Fremont Street Experience (I guess the hookers were busy)

There just doesn't seem to be any culture in Vegas, it's almost all visitors. Everything just feels temporary, not the kind of place someone would want to call home. There are some residential areas surrounding Las Vegas, but nothing special that i saw.

How do people meet, date, and make friends out there? It just seems like you could meet someone nice only to find out they're leaving in another day or so.

I have fun there, but usually after a few days I'm begging to leave asap.

Funny thing is tho, I dropped like close to 10lbs after the last time I was there for a week, despite the mammoth buffets and drinking all day. We walked constantly all day, up and down the strip from the Stardust to Mandalay Bay, up and down all those stairways, etc.

I love Vegas and I don't gamble.

I heard that they finally set-up that monorail that takes you around the city, how cool! When are they expecting to have it connected to L.A.? That's when I'll go back.

Your right its hard to meet people here but you try not to go to places, where only the tourist go.

There are some really nice areas here in Vegas I live in the extreme south part of Vegas in a gated community.
