now you say that neighbor moved away, another neighbor moved in, and the new neighbor is also complaining about your noise?

UPDATE #2: I called the manager to see what she meant by the message she left and she said the neighbor wants to talk to me about a compromise. I told her I would not meet with her unless is was in the office with the manager there. The manager said that it was fine and I told when I was available. She said the community patrol guy misunderstood the dispatcher. The dispatcher said "You better get down there before this person calls 6 times" not that there were 6 calls. I asked the manager what the neighbor told her and she said the neighbor said I was lying about her noise upstairs and that she walks normally and she isn't home at 3 in the morning because she's working. WTF No she didn't! So, I guess I am imagining the moans and creeking bed that wakes me out of my sleep. The manager said she can't take sides and the property management co told her it's not her job to handle it. The manager should take sides if I'm following the house rules of the complex, no? She will get back to me when the other neighbor is avaiable for a meeting. I'm so stressed and disgusted about this that I had a bad day today

I lowered my stereo to the lower part of my armoire and lowered the woofer to level 2. I still don't play it at the level I want because I don't any shit or anymore knocks on my door. I still feel like I'm walking on eggshells.

At my previous apartment, the person living next to me was in an "efficiency" apartment, meaning his bedroom was his living room. My bedroom was right next to him, so every night as soon as I'd lay down to sleep, he'd come home and turn the TV on till 4 in the morning.

It's not that he had it cranked up, or was being unreasonably noisy, but the walls were paper thin and the building had a poor layout. There were many nights I had to go into the other room and sleep on the couch just to get to sleep.

What may be a party for you might be another workday for someone else.
