First FireFox, now ThunderBird

Yup. Thunderbird is Mozilla's answer to Outlook Express.
If it's as good as FireFox, it's going to be a hit!

Gmail is google's new mail service (similar to hotmail, etc but MUCH MUCH MUCH better! You get 1 gigabyte of storage plus a lot more)....FireFox is a replacement browser for Internet Explorer - I love it!

(btw: Gmail is still in testing phases and you need an invitation to join - if you'd like one, orgnote me....)

FireFox is a new browser, by Mozilla.
It's almost the same as IE, but seems to be a bit better.
It's open source, so that means everyone can participate in improving the browser.
Now they have ThunderBird, which comes to replace Outlook Express. Same idea, same company behind it.

G-Mail now lets you get your e-mail straight to your e-mail program, if it's outlook express, or any other program. That way the mail stays in your computer, and you don't have to log on to the net every time you want to read old e-mails.

Gmail allows you to do a lot more than hotmail, etc... one of the main features that I like is that you can apply "filters" to incoming emails...so, when my wireless bill comes via email, it'll automatically put it in my "wireless" folder and indicate that there are new emails...plus, you can search by email address, filter, etc...I'm doing a very poor job of explaining, I know, I know... check out www.gmail.com and they should tell you quite a bit about it...

Well, the only drawback with Firefox is that some website are still only suited for Internet Explorer(IE) Browsers so I've heard.

I've solely been using Firefox for the past year, and the sites that don't work properly in it have been few and far between. The problem is caused by Internet Explorer not following the WWW specifications, and then programmers writing their web pages incorrectly just to run on Internet Explorer. In short, IE is holding the web back.

Firefox isn't just a little better than Internet Explorer, but in fact a *lot* better. Just to be brief, I'll give you the two most compelling reasons to use it.

* Much, much, less vulnerable to viruses and spyware.

* Tabbed browsing. When you click on a link with the middle mouse button (the roll wheel) or click at the same time as pressing the 'ctrl' key, the link opens in a new tab, just like a worksheet in Excel. After trying this out you'll wonder how you ever coped with Internet Explorer's one-page-one-window.

Download and it give it a go. You won't regret it.

I use Thunderbird too. Not much to say, it does exactly what I need.
Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.
