Reading the book will only send me into a deeper suicidal depression! I think I got the hint for free. Glad to hear it at least had jokes! Would you mind sharing some of the less hurtful entries? smile

I will have to bring the book to work, or logg in from home, since I don't have it at hand here...
and even then, I'd have to translate it, because my girl borrowed me the dutch version. It is really funny, the way this Greg-man is just letting women know that they should not make up any exuses for why this wonderful guy, she went out with once didn't call her back or let her wait for a phonecall for two weeks. But even in a relationship the woman thinks is serious, can give a lot of signals that there really isn't much respect.

It really is a nice book to read. Not very thick so you're done with it in 3 hours. I will try and not forget to bring the book to work so I can share some passages of it with you smile

It is an excellent book and only a bit tough if you are presently in the situation. It totally changed the way I see things with men. You really want to read it! Save you a lot of time and wondering.

The irony is that, in a post The Rules and Swingers society, everyone seems to be trying to out-play everyone else and it's no longer clear whether he (or she) is "just not that into you" or whether they're just trying to make it appear that they're just not that into you in an effort to have you be more into them. Personally, I can't be bothered with any of this shit. hah!

I see your point. I used to think in some situations that the man was just playing hard to get... but seriously though... if a man is travelling and he tells his woman that he is gonna give her a call as soon as he arrives safely, and he doesn't: SHE CLEARLY IS NOT IN HIS HEAD. If he is really into this woman, he would take that time to call. He had time to pack, he had time to travel, he must have had time to call.

and the book is just so hillarious about this and many more situations. In some occasions, it is not about "playing hard to get"...it is simple and pure respect and commitment. And THOSE situations are discussed.

I will bring it 2morrow and translate some of the things this writer replies to the numerous letters he got from women, with all these specific situations. It is just so funny... biggrin

On Season 1 of America's Next Top Model, one girl went crazy trying to get in touch w/her boyfriend. She called and called... Finally, days later, she got through to him. Eventually he confessed that he intentionally did not return her messages because he thought that would make him seem more attractive. hah!

Yes, the fool basically dropped out of the competition because of that shit. And the guy was a real prize, lemme tell you. rolleyes

My point is, these days, you don't know what the fuck is up. I haven't read this book, but I suppose it could be useful, in the sense that it seems to be telling women not to put up with crap. That alone is a worthwhile lesson.

I actually dated a woman like this. It was so sad. I wanted to put duct tape over her mouth sometimes to keep her from embarrassing herself. She would do something intended to turn me on or keep me interested, then she would tell me all about it! It wasn't cute at all, and I felt sorry for her. disbelief Which is why I soon stopped dating her.

It deals with that and also not throwing yourself at someone who isn't into you to that degree. (Not to see it as personal just prefrence etc...)

Or like woman love to angle "get in front of him" Should I call? Should I email? Blah Blah..... The author says come on now If I am into you I am gonna call!...and that no matter how "busy I am" or other excuses commonly used I will call you if I am into you!

A lot of it is like a no kidding but its a good reminder. Woman argue that men should be more straight out and just say it. The book shows men for a variety of reasons are not likely to do that so catch a clue.

I read a few pages on Amazon and with chapter titles like; "If he doesn't call you, if he doesn't think about you, if he just wants a booty call, etc." and I wish I could come up with a gimmick to rob dumb people, if a man cares about you at all, he will let it be known, anything else and you are being used.

I'm a fan of the obvious and if games are a part of it, C Ya!

Not even ashamed of admitting it. I love trashy tele. I love the way these audiences go bonkers when she walsk in and scream like she is the Messiah.

I love the make over episodes. I love the way she can't dance. I love her shameless flirting with every handsome designer. I love the book club. I love bumping into books in my own store that have OPRAH BOOK CLUB labels on them,

I can't wait for the episode when Martha gets out of jail.

It's what made the book so popular and is the reason it was translated into Dutch.
I only watch Oprah when sick. Like last night; it had Johnny Depp and Kate Winslett. Of course, what Oprah focused on was Depp being the sexiest man alive (Depp looked VERY Humiliated) and had Winslett talking about weight and childbirth. It got so pathetic that everytime Depp was irritated he took a sip of the wine Oprah gave him. The guy at one point took the entire bottle...
