I just moved into my new house (or appartment, what you like) about half a year ago. Due to severe lack of money I was not able to finish it like I wanted to.

I still need to paint the hallway and toilet.

I did the floors, but did not yet put in the sides, dunno how you call 'm in English. The finishing touch.

Last weekend I finally stripped off the MDF pannelling on my original 20's doors. But they need to be stripped off paint as well, but I'll wait until spring... so now the doors are butt-ugly, but waaaay better than the dark-brown pannelling.

And I just installed the lamp my mum gave my for my birthday this year. Really weird, cuz she died a month later. So I kinda stalled hanging it. But now it's up it's beautiful!

I am SO happy with my house! It's cold out, but warm inside! The sun is shining, though. So it will be a breeze ciccling to work later on. Have to work until 9 pm, but what the heck; it's the last working day in an entire WEEK! YIPPEE! Maybe Fhunkin and Dawntreader have a lil' space for me in their busy schedules! I certainly hope so. I miss them both awfully.

Talked via orgnotes with Stripe and Gangstafam, one new friend (I hope) and an old friend.

And I am listening to The Arcade Fire's Funeral album. Which is totally fits my mood....

Congrats on the new place Gooey. I am going thru the same ordeal right now, just bought a house, close on it Monday, luckily tho, i have friends who are carpenters and interior designers, so i have the "finishing touches" taken care of. A house becomes a home when you have the time to do exactly what you want to it, then u have a home. Fill it with things that make u happy, they need not be expensive, just lil things that remind u of who u are and what makes ya happy. Congrats again.
