When I was little, my grandma used to give us oranges and candy canes. We would put the candy in the orange and drink the juice out. I think it's an old tradition. Four strings across the bridge. Ready to carry me over,Over the quavers, drunk in the bars,Out of the realm of the orchestra

She has a handwritten copy of the recipe-it's my Gramma's, but she's made them so many years (it used to be at my Gramma's house, and when she moved Mom started making them) so I'm sure she's got the recipe down.

I like the candy canes that don't taste like candy canes (umm..did that make sense? )
I don't really like mint much, but when they started making different flavored canes, I was a happy camper My faves are bubble gum, cinnamon, and butter scotch

What's his name? Really. My mom used to make soup or something really simple. It was all about being together and stuff.

Well that's what it's all about, definitely-the cinnamon rolls for me kinda sum up the holidays for me too. The day, family, Christmas-the whole deal.
