i bumped into

one crowded Friday night on Avenue A in NYC...it didn't hit me who it was until after we bumped into each other, and it was pre-Daily Show, so I didn't much care at the time (now I would drop to my knees and ululate)...dude's really short!

and one time i went to a friend's record release party and i stood next to

at the bar. she awful purty in person. nod

i used to run into

a lot when i lived in NYC and i always wanted to say hi to laurie, but lou is big and scary looking so i was always too intimidated.

but the best time was one night when i was really drunk and i ran into

on the street and i told her i loved her and she grabbed me by the jaw and kissed me on the lips. eek

I hope you got your shots afterwards...

bad joke, I know - I do find her incredibly frightening, but in a good way.

I saw Robert Plant in the men's room of a local club in 1988. When he walked in, I elbowed my friend and said "Get a load of this guy, who does he think he is? Robert Plant?"

Literally? I bumped into Caroline Kennedy in the Law School library once.

You see "famous" people all the time in the city. As for "semi-famous" I saw I Taimak ("The Last Dragon") in a club once. I asked him to dance with me (it wasn't even Sadie Hawkins Night!). My sister was crazy about him. She wasn't there, so I did it so that I could share the experience with her. I wouldn't have asked, otherwise.

I had lunch in a fancy japanese restaurant here in Melbourne a couple of years ago and Pierce Brosnon was on the next table. Of course, all four of us in the group I was in all got on the mobile phones to call everyone we know to tell them. lol
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

I used to work for somebody in LA that knows Mick Jagger, on several different occasions I met Mick, Keith, and Ron Wood. They were very nice, and very polite nothing like there persona.

I've ran into P. Diddy on Madison Avenue in N.Y.C.
I ran into Alicia Keys in D.C. I was staying a few rooms down the hall from her in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
I was sitting 2 tables away from the guy who used to play Bentley on The Jeffersons in a N.Y.C. restaurant.
I ran into Patti LaBelle in a restaurant in Philly.
I've ran into both Chubb Rock and Dr. Dre in N.Y.C. as well.
Can't think of anyone else right now.

Joan Collins at Border's a couple of years ago. I was headed towards the escalator to leave, and I made eye contact with her. She was truly staring at me, and kinda smirking. It made me feel self-conscious, and wondered if I had something on me. I didn't realize it was her until I started going down the escalator. Then I knew I was seeing things since she was in SF performing a play.

I bumped into Vampiro (a famous wrestler) at a record store

I stuck my finger in Grace Jones' asshole.
I was insulted by Michael Moore in front of 5,000 people
I got a hug from Gloria Steinem after I told her she was a heroine of mine.
I met Roseanne. Sweet gal.

By that standard, the only person who comes to mind is Penn Jilette (of Penn and Teller). I met him while standing in line and waiting to enter my law school graduation ceremony. Apparently he had some sort of relationship with one of my classmates.

I've met lots of celebs, but I literally "bumped into" George Takei (Mr. Sulu from Star Trek. He's the guy in the pic with MrJoker) a few years back. He was staying at the same hotel, and I ran right into him as I was waiting for my girlfriend to get out of the John. He was quite friendly, even though I almost knocked him over.
