So far I've been quite efficient this year, and got around to doing the internet shopping in time for XMas.

I was going to get Focault's Pendulum but I guessed it would be too heavy for her - she's Italian - hence I eventually came to decide this would be a god choice...set in Rome, involves blowing up the Pope, all that biz. I will hopefully have time to read it before I give it to her
