What are some of your favorite TV Show Themes? Byron and Dook's current love triangle with Bea made me think about what a great theme song "Maude" had...what are some of your favorite TV themes?
"And Then There's Maude" by Dave Grusin and Andrew Bergman Lady Godiva was a freedom rider She didnt' care if the whole world looked. Joan of Arc with the Lord to guide her She was a sister who really cooked. Isadora was the first bra burner And you're glad she showed up. (Oh yeah) And when the country was falling apart Betsy Ross got it all sewed up. And then there's Maude. And then there's Maude. And then there's Maude. And then there's Maude. And then there's Maude. And then there's Maude. And then there's That old compromisin', enterprisin', anything but tranquilizing, Right on Maude.

From purely a nostalgic view point, it's gotta be:- Knight Rider, A-team, Street Hawk and Airwolf I remember I used to hum everyone of those theme tunes whether I was riding the school bus, walking down the street or playing with my chopper! "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

Off the top of my Head it's...
"The Prisoner" and The Beverly Hillbillies Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed, Then one day he was shootin at some food, And up through the ground came a bubblin' crude. Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea. Well the first thing you know ol' Jed's a millionaire, Kinfolk said Jed move away from there Said Californy is the place you ought to be So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly. Hills, that is. Swimmin pools, movie stars. The Beverly Hillbillies! = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Sung at the end of the show: Well now its time to say good-bye to Jed and all his kin. And they would like to thank you folks fer kindly droppin in. You’re all invited back again to this locality To have a heapin helpin of their hospitality Hillbilly that is. Set a spell. Take your shoes off. Y'all come back now, y'hear?

Diff'rent Strokes
Now, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum, What might be right for you, may not be right for some. A man is born, he's a man of means. Then along come two, they got nothing but their jeans. But they got, Diff'rent Strokes. It takes, Diff'rent Strokes. It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world. Everybody's got a special kind of story Everybody finds a way to shine, It don't matter that you got not alot So what, They'll have theirs, and you'll have yours, and I'll have mine. And together we'll be fine.... Because it takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world. Yes it does. It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world. and so on and so on and scooby-dooby-dooby

NORM!
Cheers Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got. Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot. Wouldn't you like to get away? Sometimes you want to go Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same You wanna be where everybody knows Your name. You wanna go where people know, people are all the same, You wanna go where everybody knows your name. Making your way in the world today Takes everything you've got; Taking a break from all your worries Sure would help a lot. Wouldn't you like to get away? All those night when you've got no lights, The check is in the mail; And your little angel Hung the cat up by it's tail; And your third fiance didn't show; Sometimes you want to go Where everybody knows your name, And they're always glad you came; You want to be where you can see, Our troubles are all the same; You want to be where everybody knows your name. Roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee's dead; The morning's looking bright; And your shrink ran off to Europe, And didn't even write; And your husband wants to be a girl; Be glad there's one place in the world Where everybody knows your name, And they're always glad you came; You want to go where people know, People are all the same; You want to go where everybody knows your name. Where everybody knows your name, And they're always glad you came; Where everybody knows your name, And they're always glad you came...

My all time fave is the theme to The Greatest American Hero. Also, the theme to Hardcastle and McCormick rocked! (These selections could be attributed to the fact that I had a thing for white dudes with afros back in the day.) "She made me glad to be a man"
