eh, i just think of those flicks as movies other people watch...they don't pertain to me or appeal to me in the least.

I Have a huge issue with movies that are dumb down adventure or action flicks. I can normally predict what happens and the ending. A lot of people though don't like movies where you have to think...

Even worse are those that think they are clever but really are not i.e. Vanilla Sky or even that spooky John Cusak movie...which was ok.

I hear ya. I do like a lot of them, but I have zero interest in either film. It seems a really desperate attempt to get audiences into theatres, a la the 70s disaster flicks that had everyone who had ever acted in at least one film all in one place.

I'm all alone in loving Ocean's 11 it's one of those movies that I can watch over and over again. I thought it was really well done and just FUN

It seems like one of those "look how we cool we are" type buddy movies. The "gang's all here" interviews that they do to promote the movies are usually more interesting than the movies themselves.

It's not only me and the Howard Stern? I totally don't get it. Even if it is a good movie, this buddy buddy bullshit just creeps me out so much, I don't want to give the movie even half a chance. Plus, I haven't even seen the first one. I'm shocked that my siser actaully wants to see it! She's so intelligent and tends to see smaller movies. I don't get it. If I see anyting in the theather anytime soon, it's going to be "Blade 3", even though I only kind of liked the first two.

I found the first film to be fun, fast paced and clever. Enough surprises that I wasn't bored and not so many "twists" that it became annoying. I freely admit I like some crap movies, but I wouldn't consider this one of them. To me, it's actually a step above crap!

btw, I'm totally giggling that you are railing on THIS for being a stupid film, yet you wanna see Blade 3. Again, this is why I love the Org. Our tastes are so varied. Your reaction to Oceans 11/12 is the same as my reaction to Blade 1-3. THE BEST PART is that just as you haven't seen Oceans 11/12, I haven't seen Blade 1-3.

I just came back from seeing it.... (was on a date so I really didn't pay attention to it 100% talked through a lot of the movie ) but from what I saw, it was not as good as the first, well second, one but it still had enough good parts to make it worth watching... there is a scene where Julia Roberts as Tess pretend to be Julia Roberts, it was afucking crack up! And a new character that was introduced who I assume will become Ocean's 13 if there is a next movie ( they left the end open and hinted that there would be) is a hottie! All in all it wasn't Shakesphere, but it was fun.

Ocean's 11 was a remake, if I'm not mistaken.

Isn't doing a sequel to a remake nothing more than a money grab, and a completely tacky one at that?
