Proofing my album So I send this sucker off tomorrow and am proofing the CD to make sure that it is free of errors. I have heard the final product before, but this is a fresh copy and there can always be a small tiny error or pop or something that happened during the burning. I so don't want to hear the slightest minute error on this disk.
Everything is done. Artwork. Music (for almost 8 mos now) and finalizing. I am happy with it and there is nothing to change. I have heard this so much I have lost complete perspective. And now that the final hour is up and I finally have the money to get this done and printed (though not the nice way I wanted i.e. no digipak...sigh..) I am nervous about sending it off but not as excited as I thought I would be in getting it all done. I actually am pressing such a small amount it has to be on CD-R, but thru consultation of close friends and knowing my budget, the industry, and that something much better will be printed later this year, I chose to go for the lower quantity. I dunno, I think that it's a combo of not doing it sooner (it's been done for a long time..and I have moved to the next stuff already) and that I couldn't do it the way I wanted. But it will be shrink wrapped and bar coded It's only going in local stores and probably in the local sections at the bigger stores (gotta figure out that). I am hoping that when I hold it in my hands that I'll be crapping my pants that it's officially done. And I HAD to do this though. One little goal accomplished. Christian Zombie Vampires

In response to Reitcarnate - The next effort is A collaboration with my friend across the street . Called the Sound Capsule. It's me on the computer and him mixing samples and effects and keyboards. It's pretty chill.
We've been doing the live thing a few times this year and are now working on the tracks. The project started as a live thing and now we are going backwards and tracking them down...whist trying to capture the "live" essence too. Some good stuff is coming about. Recently we remixed a song for an artist (not sure how major they are, but they are on a label) and there is really good word back on it. I think it's better than the original, but hey that's me . I have a lot of hope in this endeavor. More than I do in my own stuff. I work better in collaborations. It really sounds better. Though I have to say the collaboration itself has been a challenge with my friend, but that's another topic. I hope to keep continueing this and we both need to work on our work habits and how we communicate what we hear. The music also sounds really really good. I am impressed. So theres that. Make sure to keep us up to date with how things go. And good luck! Will do. I have a small suspicion they'll be done quickly. I am not doing xams gifts this year...I just giving out my CD to my friends and I think I have a T-Shirt as well. I think I'll be excited to see the shrink wrap and bar code...which is one step up from what MP3.com did...actually a few steps. As I said, I lost complete perspective on it. I know what songs I like and what's not as good. But everytime I bust it on someone they like it and usually like one of the ones I don't. Then again, I have no clue how this would sound on new ears..I try to put myself in that place, but alas after song 3, I start thinking about other things. Stay Tuned. The dotting the t's and crossing the i's to get this out has been a challenge...once I got the ok to spend the money. Next time I'll be a pro, but poor Emily, the rep who is handling my order is probably thinking I am a nut job cuz I keep calling her changing my quote and asking for different options. But I am so happy I got this done...and my secret santa done (well almost)...and my website is back up...and I sent out my DVD trades...it's been a busy week and it's only WEDNESDAY. I still have to get my nieces B-day gifts (one is late) and order my t-shirts. Off to chill and watch Lost and South Park (which looked hilarious, like cancer). Christian Zombie Vampires
