HELP Needed ~ Recommendations for Good Books or Publications I am writing a training manual for a new program my agency is opening ~ an independent living program for homeless teens. One of the training areas is working with gay, lesbian, transgender and questioning youth. I am looking for well written, compelling and relevant resouces that will open staff's thinking and help create a comfortable home environment for youth of all cultures and backgrounds. Everything I have looked at is confusing, judgemental or antiseptic. Please help ~ orgers are very diverse and well read and there have to be some great writings out there. Thank you!

You might want to try in the org artist forum actually, maybe something will pop up there? Or else ask some people who we know to be writers (Supa, Gooey, me and MANY MORE that I can't think of right now) to write something from their perspective, it could be a valuable source to just read about somebody else's lifestyle, a man or a woman, straight or gay, regardless of skin colour.

Thanks teacher ~ I have thought of that and actually remember many excellent threads that could be very valuable for giving it a personal perspective. What i need by tomorrow is an actual book or resource to include in the training manual that is going to be reviewed by State of Michigan licensing on Thursday. Maybe I should just reference the Org!!!!! It is a great place to really learn about the human condition and how people cope.
