Ya know what episode I really love? The one where they get stranded on the island and end up living inside a whale. I laughed constantly through that whole episode. And quotes like "somebody's knockin' on the baleen!" and the speech about walking the fly, I still say those things!  I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Yes, Nickelodean fired John K for being late with new episodes (in reality, it was just an excuse to get rid of him. He frequently butted heads with the execs over content). During the middle of the second season, they brought in a new animation company to animate the remaining scripts done by Spumco, with Billy West (the voice of Stimpy) also taking on Ren's vocals (previously, John K had voiced Ren himself). From the third season on, there was a completely different creative team on the show, with the exception of West. Adding insult to injury, West went on to take credit for the Ren voice in interviews, pretty much ignoring John K's input altogether. Not surprisingly, now that John K has the rights again, Billy West is not involved in new episodes.

I liked it a lot when it first came on the telly but it soon got
pretty lame and just gore and filthy. I used to watch it while I was having breakfast and all these close-ups of navel fluff and earwax and snot and such would come up.  and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |
