What Are You Reading? Been awhile since we've had a thread saluting all the Org bookworms. What book do you currently have your nose in?
I'm reading "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera. I love the movie and am just now getting around to reading the book. IT'S WONDERFUL. One of the few books that cuts through the bullshit of love (and considering that love mostly IS bullshit, this is no easy accomplishment). So what are you reading?

I hated the book. I liked the movie though. If you're trying to get through LOVE stuff, read "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" or "Lady Chatterley's Lover."

I'm still reading William Gaddis's The Recognitions, which is an incredible virtuoso performance, and I just got Doyle Brunson's Super System by Doyle Brunson and can't wait to start! It's a book about how to play poker and such!

Ex-Moderator | I recently picked up Reading Lolita in Tehran: A Memoir in Books and Our Band Could Be Your Life: Scenes From the American Indie Underground 1981-1991.
I think I'm gonna start with the memoir. It's about a professor in Tehran who gathered 7 of her female students together once a week in her home remove their veils and read "forbidden Western Classics". I'm very excited about it. |

Not unlike walking into a shoe store. And I'm running out of room to store both shoes and books. |
