I went shopping today . I hate crowds, but my son wanted a nintendo ds and circuit city had them. Every where else was sold out !!! So I stood in line for 3 hours. I still have a headache.....

I did! But only for myself. I bought back all the Nirvana albums I sold many years ago.

Same here. Major drama for an item we didn't even get (I suspect that the employess seriously kept them in the back). Lots of pushing and shoving for a Gameboy SP that my dad got for my cousin in Italy and a portable DVD player that my aunt wanted us to buy for her (she pulls that crap every year). Never again! They showed the "Black Friday" shoppers on tv and it was like the "Running of the Bulls" at the malls. I'd rather shop online.

If I had kids....I'd go shopping after Thanksgiving, you know for cheap toys and stuff. But the stuff I like, I can get anytime or just order it online. That nintendo DS does seem tempting....I can wait though. Last year, some lady in Florida got trampled to death at a store ( I think it was at Wal-Mart)... over sales.

yeah she did get hurt but what i do is dont buy anything b4 i go shopping the day after x-mas bcuz people r returning stuff and there is more stuff in stock thatn b4 x-mas

I have never shopped the day after Thanksgiving. I hate shopping & crowds of ppl. There is nothing that i need that bad that I would be at a store at 5 am to buy. Forget that!

I went shopping the day after Thanksgiving. I wanted to get the $18.77 DVD player that Meijer had on sale starting at 5 a.m. Me and my sister got there at 4:40 a.m. They were already gone. I heard they were gone by 2 a.m. and that people just waited until 5 to check out. I sent them a complaint email, saying that they shouldn't have had them out on the floor until the sale started. It's not fair that people come come in the store during the middle of the night and hoard everying. They replied and said they were sorry, but they couldn't help the amount of people that wanted the DVD player. I understand that, but they shouldn't have had it on the sales floor until 5. Never again, will I do this. Kmart's buy one get one free Bey blades were all gone minutes after they opened. The $8.88 cd walkmans at Target were all gone. My kids are only 8, 9 and 12. They don't need anything of great quality, that's why I wanted to get this stuff. At least my Gameboy SP is safely in lay away.

Not to be Debbie Downer but people have gotten trampled @ these friggin' stores buying crap the day after Thanksgiving. Can you imagine? Grown folks acting like some damn fools over dvd players I don't need anything THAT bad to be out @ 5am, F that...

You should be kind of greatful. The people that got their early, if they would have waited, I think deserve the player. I went to Meijer with my dad and our main goal was the laptop, which no one was interested. There is a long story about that which I won't even get into but basicaly, all the items come out on skids from the stock room and there was pushing, shooving and some people that were in "line" for hours didnd't get crap becuase a gang of people stood up in front and grabbed armfuls of the goodies. It was a fucking mess that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. And then they never brought the computers out...but I don't want to talk about it. THe Early Morning After Thanksgiving sucks. Next time, I'll go out around 8 and take my chances.
