David Lynch's ERASERHEAD This is one of my favorite midnight flix.
I see the film as a meditation on insecurity and the fear of responsibility, Who here has seen it? Your thoughts?

One of my favorites. I got the DVD early last year and love it to death. Interpretations on this movie are mixed and varied--everyone sees something different. I think it's a chronicle of the fear of fatherhood. I still think it's one of Lynch's best works.

I have a love/hate relationship with David Lynch. But that doesn't mean I don't worship his ass as a filmmaker. Some of his content bugs me, but then again, Mullholland Drive is just about the greatest film I've ever seen and if I could have sold my soul to the devil to make that film, well, I woulda been tempted.
Eraserhead? CLASSIC! Blue Velvet = Wild at Heart = Alphabet, Grandmother & short films = Twin Peaks = Straight Story= Mulholland Drive= Elephant Man= never saw Lost Highway not to mention Dune

"Straight Story" was a brilliant piece of work. It's unquestionably Lynch's quietest film, but also one of his most perceptive. You don't need the Lynch craziness to still have his brillaince. Richard Farnsworth did an amazing job.

Saw Blue Velvet at the flix when it came out, and it's an experience I'll treasure forever... amazing.
Lost Highway I LOVED. I like the fact his movies are so interpretive and open-ended. My take on that film was that he was living out HIS purgatory - his own private hell. Well, that's the only way I could make any sense of it anyway! Mulholland Drive was the biggest disapointment and a big pile of shit. Lynch by numbers. Sad.
