Oek de Jong - Cirkel in het gras

Kinda weird, but I like it though. Very cold and warm at the same time. And truly poetic.

My boyfriend is finally reading 'Gloed' (Glow?) by the Hungarian writer Sandor Marai. I read this book two years ago and I loved it. Anyone else read this book?

Not yet, but for the first time in ages you make me want to rwad Dutch again...

Oek de Jong Belgium or Dutch?

I am reading Mortal Engines by Philip Reeves.

It is awful fun! I am really into juvenile fiction. I am just filling space between Grim Tuesday and Drowned Wednesday, really.

The Tin Drum - Gunter Grass

That's a really nice one! I read it quite a few years ago and it's still one of my favorites. Little question: i always thought that one of the scenes in the movie Insomnia (Robin Williams, Al Pacino), where they chase each other over wood that is floating down the river is inspired by (or closely resembles) a scene from the book. Am i dreaming this? (I know, i could look it up myself, but i'm laaaazy smile)

Oh, and i'm reading Baudolino by Umberto Eco right now. It's ok, but not nearly as good as any of his other books i've read.
