I NEED ADVICE!!

This may sound stupid 2 most people but I really need avice from u guys!!

I am thinking of returning back 2 work due 2 changing circumstances in my family, but there are a couple of things that I need help with, which u guys may feel are pretty stupid!! LOL

1. With work taking up a good percentage of your time, how do u all manage 2 keep in regular contact with each other, particularly when theres time zone differences involved?? Have u ever lost contact with various other Prince fans, due 2 having 2 go out 2 work that its just impossible 2 keep in contact anymore?? I would hate for that 2 happen!! How do u all maintain that certain closeness with each other still, as the Prince online community is a very tight close intimate circle??

2. How do u all cope with working with others that just dont share the same interests that u do, particularly regarding Prince??

I need some honest, understanding replies on this as I want 2 b really happy in my working life!!

2. How do u all cope with working with others that just dont share the same interests that u do, particularly regarding Prince?? ~ chuckles~ who the fuck cares if at the work place people dont like all the same things YOU do... you are not there for that... you are there to work and earn $ ... and LEARN new things ...embrace the differences... it ADDS to the joy of life... how very boring it would be for everyone to like Prince... or whatever... branch out ... learn... grow ...

I need some honest, understanding replies on this as I want 2 b really happy in my working life!!

then dont base it on your love for this sight or like minded prince fans...find something you LOVE to do and can earn $ at ... and KNOW that you will NOT have as much time ONLINE !!! and that you may make incredible new friends that ARNT like minded ...

I am screaming with laughter reading this, so let's get this right, you don't want to work to help support your family because you will miss everyone on prince.org..you are just totally unreal and have been away from reality too long.

All I can say is thank God you won't be here much..there is a God after all!

How do you think 99% of people do it? They go to work - live their lives and then spend 5 - 60 minutes of their day catching up on news / emails / newsgroups / IM etc. Their number one priority isnt posting to a website's bulletin board about a variety of subjects which, if were honest no one really gives a toss about. Focus on your family, because if you havent got them what do you really have? - A group of people who really dont care if you post or not if you are here or not, and wouldnt miss you if you wasnt here. If you want understanding replies i think you may have come to the wrong place, we all have to go to work and make our livings - the only advice i have is - life IS a bitch and then.... you know the rest (you die and go to heaven unlesss you have been excommunicated then you go somewhere else!!!)

You do what most org addicts do and get a job that allows plenty of unsupervised time in front of a computer.

And buy a good set of headphones, because the chances of ending up in a workplace where other people want to listen to Prince all day is really, really, really slim, unless you're going to work at Paisley Park.

Which is something you should perhaps consider. nod

Some friends I miss because we both got jobs, but there's email. And orgnotes. I don't feel I miss much if I check in for 1 hour every day. It's most buzy in the weekends anyway so not much to miss wink

2. How do u all cope with working with others that just dont share the same interests that u do, particularly regarding Prince??
They talk about their interests and I talk about mine, it's great to tell people about his music and get them interested (at least a bit) and I also find lots of their hobby's interesting so I think it's less boring than always having conversations with people that always seem to know everything about the subject already anyway confused

Hope this was serious enough to your taste, I still think the other comments are not bad, listen to those aswell lol

If you are returning to work then you should already have coped with people who dont share your interests, Unless you worked as a cobbler mending Princes shoes in his little elf studio.
