Boycott For Matthew

I don't usually DO stuff like this...buuuuut....

http://www.boycott4matthew.org/

For your Thanksgiving viewing this Nov 26th, ABCs television show 20/20 is
planning an "expose" of Matthew Shepard's murder.

In a press release promoting the show, ABC promised "surprising revelations, including Laramie's underground world of methamphetamine use that may have contributed to the crime and whether or not Shepard knew his killers."

The link above contains information about boycotting the sponsors of the program to hopefully send the message to 20/20 that this kind of 'investigative journalism' is uncalled for.

Here are some other links...

From a freedom of speech standpoint, I don't know that I support this. Whether he knew them or not, whether he was using drugs or not makes no difference to the fact that they were horrible monsters who killed a defenseless young man. I don't necessarily think that revealing further details is a disgrace to who he was.

i understand madartista's point and i begrudgingly kinda agree, but the bottom line to me is that there is absofuckinglutely ZERO reason for what those two guys did to that kid, and if 20/20 tries to play some stupid fucking "he had it coming" card, i hope the gay community completely savages ABC with all its might.

I can see your point there, but....

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. I'd go further to say that if that is what ABC does, the outrage extends well beyond just the gay community.

This is just tacky plain and simple-does 20/20 really have any credibility as it is?

(Although Barbara Walters needs to make that swimsuit calendar now while she has the free time.)
