I'm so sad . . .

I just came from a Memorial Service and I’m so sad right now. The bad part is I didn’t even know the person who died, but had known his wife for a few years.

I sat there and reflected on the people that I’d know that had died. Especially my father and a few close friends and family who's no longer here.

Life is so short and once in a while you find that one special friend, loved one or significant other that makes a difference in your life and for those persons right now, I am truly thankful.

Some believe in God or some other higher being and some don’t, but just take a few minutes out of your busy day to be thankful for those whom you care about who are still here.

Give your flowers to those who are here now, not later when they won’t be able to appreciate them.

Live life like there’s no tomorrow and don’t have any regrets about your failures or faults.

Celebrate all the good things and even those bad things, because you were alive to experience them.

Peace

Thanks Guys and Gals.

Sometimes, it's good to reflect and remember. But I swear to God I hate the sound of "TAPs" playing. Gets me everytime. bawl

But thanks for reading.

Tell me Sag. I swear I was holding it up for Moms and the family until they started playing Taps at my father's funeral.

How lonely does the trumpet sound
when it's for the last time?

When I die, I want the end title to Star Wars: A New Hope ("The Throne Room and End Title") to be played at the end of my funeral. biggrin

I know what you mean about reflection on people that have passed on. I still can't deal with funerals or even shows/movies about fathers and sons since my dad died 6 years ago. neutral
