I've said all along that Ann will be the victor. They love the "You've come a long way, baby!" finish and it allows Tyra to feel as though she has somehow polished a diamond-in-the-rough. It also validates her ridiculous belief that being a successful model is about "hard work".

There is no doubt in my mind that Elyse was robbed of the title in Season 1 because she refused to state that she had learned that being a successful model wasn't just about being born with "estrogen features", but about excruciating effort.
