Why Do Some People Pronounce the Word "Huge"... "Yuge"? It drives me nuts when people do that, it's like they don't see the "h" at the beginning of the word. I have a friend who says "yuge", and I have to bite my tongue not to correct her, although it is very tempting. I hate it when people mispronounce the word "huge". RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Me too, or when people pronounce the "w" in the word "sword".
I have a friend who pronounces the word "closet", "clowset". Somehow she puts a "w" in there that doesn't belong. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I find it very sad that you can openly mock those poor souls with speech impediments. I don't spend my day working with the verbally impaired but I'm sure they're suffering. As I said, I'm yugely disappointed.
