and ya'll think we punks in Indiana.....lol

ok..that was some dumb ass shit but I can't stop watching eek

EVERYONE is at fault, fans, players, security....everyone.

I think its bullshit if some of these fans get to sue. They were responsible...as well as the players.

Yup. If any of the fans that charged the court, threw stuff or threw punches get to sue, my head is gonna blow off disbelief

Being from Detroit, I can just say (without drama about the details of what happened)

"Detroit needs Hockey!"

Th funny thing was that I was over a friends house watching a classic Red Wings game from 1997 because my buddy is missing hockey so much. Then he gets the call to turn on the Pistons game and...

Well truth be told.. it was the Daddy's and Momma's of these kids whom inititaed the 'fan' element into the conflict in the first place. Prior to that it was just between two teams on the floor which isnt un-common among sporting events. Sports are emotonal events ..and pro sports come wit pro levels of emotions..so it isnt to surprising to see conflicts between players regularly... It does happen.

How about the elder lady who was knocked over and was getting trampled??
again she got trampled cause the fans couldn't control themsleves and stay seated.

1st: Why the hell was Ron Artest laying on the table for?? Oh that's right he is too cool to just walk away and be responsible athlete, no looking like a dumb ass.
Look closer... in the initial conflict Artest was one of the players NOT throwing punches.. he was backed into the scorers table on accident and then did a 'smart ass' move by laying on it.. but hey .. he wasnt fighting ior yelluing at any body..and since he himself NEVER threw a punch til thatr point he would not have been penealized..cause his foul on the floor was hard.. but it wasnt flagrant. Ben Wallace got ticked cause they were losing and Artest was still playingg Artest's game which is to foul hard.

2nd: No fan should EVER throw anything at an athlete, that just shows no class.
Let the pros play their game
exactly..hense the tone of your statement seams contradictory or confused

3rd: How did Artest know who threw what?? If he would of just stayed on the floor NONE OF THIS WOULD OF HAPPENED!!! They should of just let security handle that dude!!
the guys who did it were only fifteen to tweenty feet away actually and had been yelling at hjim directly. most of us most figure that in the same situation .. the likely hood of us knowing who threw at us in that range would have been high... so its unfair to figure he couldnt know. Also tempers were already flared...and can YOU honestly tell me that if you were already in a pissed off fighting mood and some guy hhits you in the face with a water bottle and you pretty much know who did it.. you would simply yell 'security!!'... no... your uinstincts take over and say go kick his ass.

Remeber peeps although these guys make a lot of money.. most of them come from some of the hardest negighborhoods across the country... they are 'street'

You can take a baler from the street .. but you cant take the street away from a baller. and on the street someone plays you like a bithc and hits you in the face with a water bottle you would kick thier ass.. this situation was no different.

But that's right the players in the NBA can't be touch because of the money they make, Ron Artest will have plenty of time to promote his "rap-less album" that no one is going to buy anyway. way too go...dumb ass!!
not surei'm understanding you here... no one weither they make a million dollars or one dollar has to submitt them selves to assult.. the money they make has no bearings.. getting hit in the face with a bottle is still getting hit inthe face with a bottle no matter what you make.

And do your history... postive or negative publicity is still publicuity and all this hoplah over his Cd .. has garunteed it 500,000 million sold already

Jermaine O'Neil get ready to pay up..

This all might sound harsh on my end, but when you play any professional sport you are labled a"role model", like it or not it sends the wrong message to our children when stuff like this happens.

Sad people only remember who gets suckerd punched.

We label athletes as role models and tellthem they are...weither they want to be or not.... so when they act like the latter... we only have ourselves to blame. Charles Barkley years ago made comments related to 'role model' status and i agreed with him then and now still. You ge what you pay for..aso if you make an athlete your role model... and athlete with all there flaws is what you get.

As far as the league goes, both teams should get a LOSS for the outcome of the game and the players who went after the fans should AT LEAST be tossed out of the league for the season. If they don't, the NBA takes another step down closer to the reputation of the NHL.

Please answer this: Who made Artest get off the table run up about 3-5 rows over about 10 seats?? I think the answer would be him. If you look at the video the guy he went after has a cup in his hand, in short of him drinking double fisted, but if he wasn't didn't Artest swing an innocent man?? The actions can't be denied, he should of stayed on the floor.

As far as parents goes, I wasn't so much think of those who may of started it, I was thinking of those who had nothing to do with it.

As far as Artest selling 500,000 cds, I won't and have never got caught up in the hype. ? for you would you buy this cd because of this incident??

You make some excellent points, for me I place very high expectations on our "professional" athletes and I think at the end of the day they are just like you and I, but learn more self control and self discipline to help avert these types of situations.
