The only good things about the movie were the following:

There was no rap.
Spongebob saved the world with rock music.

Other than those two things, it wasn't a good movie. Spongebob only works in small doses, not 88 minute movies. The whole premise lost steam quickly. Where the TV show takes about 10 minutes to wear an idea out, the movie has 88 minutes to fill and it just doesn't work very well.

As much as I am a fan, I did have a feeling that the movie wouldn't be that great. I still want to check it out though.

Don't take my word for it... you should still go if you like Spongebob. I just thought that it would have worked a LOT better as a 30 minute short.

Most of the reviews on rottentomatoes.com were good, actually...and the few clips I've seen from the movie were funny...

My son loved this movie, I liked it too, it was cute and funny..damn poor David Hasselhoff must've needed some cash BAD..to do that silly ass cameo...still ya'll know Patrick cracks ya up...I'm glad we saw it, but I'm even more glad I went to the movie cinema up the street from my house that shows current releases for $2.50 before 6pm...so I wasn't outta a lot of money for 2 tickets. GO SEE THE MOVIE...TAKE THE KIDS, just to see the smiles on those little faces is worth it don'tcha think. x2.

Me and my kids watch Sponge Bob and it is hilarious. My favourite character is Gary the snail and he "meows" like a cat. I wanna see the movie.

I think they sell both patties and burgers , (on 2nd thought)
not just patties

Here in Holland we have a translated version
and a subtitled one
I mostly watch the translated version
I think they translate pattie with "burger" which
is also a Dutch word
