i need to have a database/mailing list somewhere other then my pc (i use outlook abut my pc keeps crashing on me and messing up my data)
can anyone recommend a good online database where i can strore and also email everyone from??

Depends on quite how much functionality / number of subscribers you need , but I use Constant Contact which is here:

Some nice templates there to use as well and full reports on bounced emails and such-like.
