i hate my job in fact, i've been spending this afternoon looking for a new one. my resume is all ready, I just need to find some vacancies.
the sad thing is that the hospital i work for is excellent but the job they have me doing sucks worse than anything i've ever done. i was told that i would be working with animals and instead i answer the phone all day and file. i am not meant to be a secretary and i told them this during my interview. my pay really sucks and my benefits don;t really make up for it. it'd be one thing if i actually got to work with the patients but that hasn;t happened and it doesn;t look like it's going to. i know that working full time is tough but is it normal to feel nothing but dusgust for the job you do? i feel my brain wasting away when i'm at work. there's nothing to be excited about and everyone, from my co-workers to the clients, looks down on me because i'm "just a receptionist". I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT!!

Yup! I know what you mean. Be careful that it doesn't begin to effect life outside the office. Now THAT sucks even more!

Yes, either change your job... or change your attitude.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT!! I know how you feel. I landed the job I wanted and I still hate it. I do marketing for a hospital and these people I work with are morans. They are not serious and don't want to work. So I usually spend my days looking for another one also or posting on The Org. Good luck to you. Hopefully things will turn around for you. ~Hugs... but do not remain unfulfilled. i've been trying to change my attitude since i realized that i hate my job but it hasn;t been working. i think that this is mostly because i was told i would be doing a different job when i was hired. i guess the main reason why i hate it is because i feellike i;ve been had. i was promised an awesome job and then stuck with a crappy one.

That sucks Jessy
Just get out of there as soon as you can land a better job, dont stay there if you hate it. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT!! How about looking around for another job but at the same time telling your boss why you're so unhappy there, and what you'd like to do instead. Let them know you're more than they think you are and want to do more. If you do it in the right way and are enthusiastic, they should respect you for it (unless, of course, they're assholes). Whatever happens, good luck ... sounds like you're being pretty proactive and know what you want
