Case

This is the most unneccesary sequel of the year. Not to mention the fact that the final line of the film is just plain offensive. This movie is an insult to unmarried thirtysomething women. And mind you, I'm a man. Not only that, Colin Firth's character is such a fucking idiot and I can't believe that she ends up with him. And contrary to popular opinion.....RENEE ZELLWEGER LOOKED HEALTHY, NOT FAT, IN THIS FUCKING MOVIE!!!!!

If she's fat, then I'm a Protestant (inside joke).

I hated, hated, hated this movie.

I LOVE Bridget Jones. Two of my favorite books ever, and I can't wait to see the sequel.

I loved the first one but from what I hear this isn't really a sequel. It's more like the same thing. I don't care though, I bet it's still cute!

Saw it - it wasn't as good as the first - but it still had its moments. Since we are all too familiar with the characters there were no surprises.

Go in with low expectations and you won't be disappointed. wink

I'd read the first book before I went to see the first film. Still, it was a
cool movie and there were many laughs, it was funny witty and clever.

Now, I read the second book when it was first published so I've forgotten
most of what went on, yet I do remember that it was quite good fun.

The movie sequel however wasn't much fun. More of the same, but a lot less
funny. There wasn't once during the whole movie where you heard people in
the theatre laugh out loud. It was fun, but not funny.

To make matters worse, I think Bridget herself turned into a pardoy esp in
the second half of the movie. I really lost respect for the film at the
final minutes when she's running down the halls looking for Mark and she
just looks like a cartoon on drugs.

ill

We all sympathised with Bridget in the first movie, now we can just smirk
at her.

Can you demand a movie ticket if it drives you even further with your Orange Club addiction to prevent a lawsuit?

It'll happen-Renee's a beacon to moviegoers.

Hell, I even want to see it.

She's realistically sexy, you know?

I just don't get the paper thin models-I end up wanting to give 'em a sandwich above anything else.

confused

(Yep-I've seen the first one too. About a Boy is still a classic though.)

(I have to meet a Hugh Grant quota-his people stalk me.)

i like her in her bridget jones fullness, she looks very cute and doesn't make me want to stop eating my orange clubs due to an inferiority complex.

woot! for about a boy, even though it makes me cry

Hey-I've read/seen all the Nick Hornby related stuff.

It's harmless. Not like it's a Britney Spears "film".

Starving yourself is never a good idea-I heard Renee gets more attention that way than otherwise, but that's because I was outside her bedroom with a giant megaphone turned around and listening carefully.

About a Boy is a classic.

Not sure how they'll remake Fever Pitch for American audiences-doesn't need to be done.

Leave the Brits to their craft.

I never said Nick was related to this, and really you're missing the advantages.

She'll go with you to the sheep dip if you go to this with her, surely.

Plus, you'll feel alive inside again.

When was the last time that happened?

Please tell me you're pacing yourself again though.

You really shouldn't toy with the toaster's emotions like that.
