my birthday's comin up super-soon, and i have absolutely no clue as to what i'ma do...i haven't had any special treatment for my b-day since i was 5 (seriously, that's the only birthday party i've ever had in my whole life )...i'll be 24 this time around, and i'm wonderin what to do this time around. it'll kinna suck, since my b-day is on a tuesday this year as opposed to on a friday or the weekend.

Damn, I wish I could be around for your birthday! It's always better when someone takes the reins and plans something for you, or with you. It's kind of hard arranging your own birthday shindig.

I guess it depends on whether there are many people living near you who you actually like and would want to spend your birthday with. The number of people you want to involve has a lot of bearing on what you end up doing. Like, you don't want to bring a hundred motherfuckers to play paintball, and on the other hand you don't want to rent a hall for three people.

Why not throw yourself a party! Invite friends over and if you have a karaoke machine do a little of that or get out the hair brush and do it the old-fashioned way... have everyone bring something to make your favorite dish and all get together and cook.

Oooor... gather everyone together and club hop, go to a nice dinner or the movie.

Tell a good friend you want a party thrown for your B-day...that that can be their gift to you...getting it together. It helps if your friend is good at this kind of thing.

I once did this and basically said I don't care what happens or anything...just make sure my friends are here and we can have a good time. My friend got the invite list and sent out the invitations for "Bob's surprise B-day party he already knows about". It happened at my house, so a different friiend took me out of the house while the party was being set up. We got back...and I was to act surprised...I was. They had a bubble machine, a disco ball, some other light contraption, some shimmery decor...and all of my friends. I was flabberghasted. The had a cake that said "Happy Barmitzfa Irving" and all kinds of crazy stuff going on. But the real surprise that they had was my friend Kendall flew in for it and that was really specail. Of course he wasn't thtere for the initial surprise...he was hiding for the true surprise.

Probably the best dang B-day I have ever had.
