Naproxen (Aleve) and caffeine is my magic combo, but if I don't catch it early enought, it doesn't work. Then the only thing that helps is long, dark, quiet, uninterrupted sleep.

I felt one starting after I woke up. I took 2 xtra strenght Tylenol. I have to do it ASAP or else it takes a while and I have to lie down with a throbbing head and sleep it off. One time I had a real bad migraine I only could make it to the kitchen sink to throw up. After that my migraine was gone.

ok I take aleve when ever I feel a head ache comeing on. Before I can even think about it...it's gone.

But it sounds more like a medical condition. Girls get it more that guys do. I had a friend who had this. You do take perscription medicine for them right? If not you should get your doc to perscribe something. I know that there is now over the counter stuff you can get that is really strong too. Judging by your post, it seems as you may get these often enough and they are severe. The perscription you can get may not work all the time...but usually if you feel it coming on, you can take the meds and nip it in the bud.

both my Dr's and Dr freinds say ...

Orgasim is one of the top meds for migrains ( i too suffer them BAD ) but the drug co. dont make $ off THAT so most Dr's dont prescribe a good ole dose of ORGASIM to help migrains

its about blood flow and restricted blood floow and opening UP blood flow and FLOWING

I was diagnosed with migraines a few years ago.. When nothign would get rid of my headaches.. honestly Excedrine Migraine works.. ANd its over the counter if you could believe that!

Also try to take a nap, sometimes after taking medicine, you just need to close your eyes for a little while.. put a cool rag on your head and sleep an hour or so...

I sympathize with you.. I have been there.. Thank god, i havent' gotten anything bad in a long time!

Seriously, migraines are bastards. I don't get them like I used to but they can still knock me out for a coupla days if I get a bad one. Many things are known or suspected to trigger them. Red wine, dairy products, coffee, chocolate, stress/tension, dehydration and (the oddest one I've ever heard) storms!

If you can avoid all these then you might be okay.

One of my triggers is weather changes (where is that Cloud Busting machine when you need it most! ) other ones are my period (hormonal changes) my allergies, strong smells (some perfumes and cleaning supplies are really bad) and stress. Glad that yours aren't as bad as they used to be
