I love this sitcom, it's one of my favorites that I enjoy watching, thanks to reruns on TV Land. Sanford and Son had great writers, it never fails to make me laugh, especially the episodes that include Aunt Esther. The way Fred and Esther insult and pick on each other is hilarious!

Really, that's ashame. They have some seasons of Sanford and Son out on DVDs, not sure if they would have them where you live.

My father grew up with Redd Foxx in St. Louis... They hadn't seen each other since being teenagers, though, when my father went off to fight in WWII...There was one episode, though, were Redd Foxx actually said my father's name..!! He used to use the names of actual people he grew up with in his scripts, sometimes just off the cuff, and once he mentioned my father's name (J.C), as well as my "uncle" Kato, who really isn't my uncle, he's just related in some unknown way..lol

Oh I looove this show! I grew up watching it!!! I still do on TV land!!! " Why don't I put your face in some dough, and make some gorilla cookies" lol lol!

I love this , and I agree it was one of the best sit coms around....that and All In The Family.....hehe

My favorite episode is the B.B. King one but there's so many good ones.

OMG! I forgot..I used to laugh like crazy when he would start singing.." and could I be sure....." and they would show his fingers wiggling as he sang...rotflmao.....

I loved Aunt Esther! She was the best.

My favorite episode is where she's in a Beauty Pagent and Fred is a judge. Classic TV.

Yes, but every time he'd try...Fred would clutch his heart and Talk to his late wife (forgot her name) and tell her he's coming. WHenever he'd pull that, I'd be laughing.

Yep..lol He also had a drawer full of reading glasses, and whenever he needed to make a phone call, he'd drag a handfull out of that drawer, then spend 5 minutes trying on each pair until he found one that helped him see the numbers on the phone..lol
