Sanford and Son Appreciation Thread

I love this sitcom, it's one of my favorites that I enjoy watching, thanks to reruns on TV Land. Sanford and Son had great writers, it never fails to make me laugh, especially the episodes that include Aunt Esther. The way Fred and Esther insult and pick on each other is hilarious! lol

Show your love for this great TV classic!

My father grew up with Redd Foxx in St. Louis... smile They hadn't seen each other since being teenagers, though, when my father went off to fight in WWII...There was one episode, though, were Redd Foxx actually said my father's name..!! lol He used to use the names of actual people he grew up with in his scripts, sometimes just off the cuff, and once he mentioned my father's name (J.C), as well as my "uncle" Kato, who really isn't my uncle, he's just related in some unknown way..lol

Loved Sanford & Son... thumbs up!

WOW! woot! How cool! That's one of my favorite shows of all time! Redd Foxx was an amazing comedy writer...plus his character was so lovable smile I loved the relationships he had with LaMont and Esther and the trouble that he and Grady used to get into smile

Yes, but every time he'd try...Fred would clutch his heart and Talk to his late wife (forgot her name) and tell her he's coming. WHenever he'd pull that, I'd be laughing.

Lamont: "Menopause is something that happens to women!!"

Fred: "Well...maybe I caught it off of some woman.."
