DON'T POST ADULT IMAGES!

Read the rules. Read the blurb at the top of this forum... or just read this:

Don't post adult images, or offensive images. You may link to such content if you wish, but make sure you include a warning in your post.

How hard of a rule is this to follow?

If you must make threads about porn stars, or other nudity related topics... LINK the pic, don't post it.

Strikes will be issued or Deactivation will take place if this trend continues.

LINK folks... it's easy to do.

Thank you.

Perhaps people at work shouldn't click on a thread with a header such as:Your Fav Porn Star(s) (NSFW!!)

..or the rules should actually state such images are not allowed. I dunno, maybe I'm just weird like that shrug

Not to mention that technically the picture is linked in either case and not hosted by prince.org. God bless common sense. thumbs up!

The rules to which he referred to in his org note which supposedly should back up his decision do not mention nudity at all. Not to mention that supposedly using the img tags for this pic http://www.axestream.com/pics/xxx4.jpg (NSFW) is not allowed, but this is http://www.axestream.com/pics/xxx2.jpg. Again I say that no pics were ever hosted by prince.org and that in both cases it's about a link to an image. In this particular case the title of the thread gave a good enough warning, so anyone at work or with a strong dislike for such content could have easily avoided being exposed to this material.

I say either you ban nudity completely or you allow it if the title of the thread gives a good enough warning. Then if people reply to a thread of which the original post/topic didn't have a NSFW warning and want to link to a pic containing nudity, they should give a warning and only link to the image, not using the img tags even if nudity in general is allowed.

Either option sounds fair to me, but I'm sure some will try to make it more complicated than they has to be...

Or, you can just read what I've posted... which is one of the options I gave. Or, you can continue to fight a fight you're going to lose. That's another choice.

You decide... thank you.

Sorry, didn't mean to undermine your authority, Sir, but I thought the purpose of a forum was to have fair discussions.

If you read my posts carefully you can see I'm merely asking for some clarity on what is and what is not allowed because at this point it is not and your arguments are weak and not backed up by either the Terms Of Service or the Forum Rules.

Perhaps you missed these...

Be civilized
Don't create offensive, vulgar, obscene, threatening, abusive or excessively profane posts. Do not instigate, engage in, or encourage 'flame wars'.

Then, there's this too...

Moderators have final say.
prince.org administrators and moderators reserve the right to edit, relocate and/or remove any message, at any time, for any reason. Consider all editing decisions final. If you don't agree with a decision, you may discuss it with the moderator who made the judgment in private. If you cannot reach resolution with the Moderator in private, contact the site administrator via e-mail (ben@prince.org), explaining the entire situation, with all relevant links/excerpts/emails, etc. Under no circumstance attempt to start a 'debate' about specific moderation decisions in a public forum.

Or the statement above the forum, which I posted earlier...

Don't post adult images, or offensive images. You may link to such content if you wish, but make sure you include a warning in your post. Some people read the Org at work you know

It's as clear as daylight.

You signed up up to a set of rules, including:

"You acknowledge that prince.org does not pre-screen Content, but that prince.org and its designees shall have the right (but not the obligation) in their sole discretion to refuse or move any Content that is available via the Service. Without limiting the foregoing, prince.org and its designees shall have the right to remove any Content that violates the UA/TOS or is otherwise objectionable."

You also signed up to the Discussion Forum Rules, including:

"Moderators have final say. prince.org administrators and moderators reserve the right to edit, relocate and/or remove any message, at any time, for any reason. "

And then you posted in a Forum which clearly states:

"Don't post adult images, or offensive images. You may link to such content if you wish, but make sure you include a warning in your post"
.

Uhm, ok, so what's "offensive", "vulgar" or "obscene" about my post and how would it be different if I just posted a conventional link to those images. How does that change the content of my message? Don't answer, it's a rhetorical question.

I never said you didn't have final say, you can do whatever you want, however that doesn't mean anything. The fact you can do things which I can't is merely the result of the priviledges you have been given by the administator.

I did ask for clarity in the appropriate forum, but instead this sticky was created which doesn't answer any of my questions which I understand you or any other mods don't have to answer, but I thought I was being fair enough in my approach. Alas, here's the result of that...

Since you're either unwilling or unable to answer my questions I will ask Ben, so lock this thread if you want to, but please don't delete any of the posts as I'd like to include them in my email to Ben.

What I've never understood is why adult images are not allowed, as they are not "work safe" or as a warning to those underage, but topics about how big or small ones dick may be, how tight one may be, what the fastest time they've acheived orgasm is, if they prefer anal and how they go about it, etc., etc., etc. are all a-okay. They may not use an image to display the male/female body or graphic content of people together, but the image is still there.

It just never really made sense to me. I dunno... is the rule in force soley for the fact that ones boss may creep up from behind and see a nude image on your monitor?

Im guessing that if the org allowed such pictures on a regular basis, then they would have to install some sort of safety features or parental locks or something. Not to mention that many orgers may find them objectionable when posted without warning.

You don't have to read any of the NSFW threads. Not to mention that half of topics on this site have nothing to do with Prince anyway.

In all fairness, the policy re adult images really should be mentioned in the forum rules, and not just at the top of the General Discussion forum. I'll ask Ben if it can be done.
Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position.
