It's hard for me to comment on whether there's loads of people like that, cos for the most part people i know are all in serious relationships (or take relationships seriously if they're in them). Strange as it may seem, i really don't know many people (there are a few, but they are just a few) who "don't want to make any compromises or actually love and respect the other person."
