URGH!!! Just felt the need to vent about something....I appreciate that over the last few years many retail outlets have created clothes to fit taller women. However, aside from the GAP and some stores under the Limited brand, many retail outlets like J. Crew and Banana Republic (that charge an arm and leg for clothes as it is), only offer tall clothing online and not in stores.
As you may know when you purchase online, you are apt to pay tax (and taxes in NYC suck) and they totally rip you off on shipping. Yes, I've done searches for online coupon codes and most of them don't have any specials unless you spend $100 or more. All I want is a tall pair of pants but I end up paying $20 (shipping + taxes) more to buy them online because they don't sell them in the stores. Ok so it's $20. It's not going to make or break me, but the whole idea of this is completely unfair. Thanks for letting me vent. [Edited 11/10/04 7:58am] Let the rain come down...17 days....

Aww Im sorry to hear that! I tried... I still say the Editor and a tailor would come just about perfect. I have a few model height friends who suffer the same fate! [Edited 11/10/04 8:14am]

i'm 6'1", and need a 36" inseam, so i'm definitely feeling your pain!
Long Elegant Legs often has great sales (longelegantlegs.com), and their stuff is reasonably priced to begin with. that's the only place i've found so far where i can order pants... (wouldn't trade being tall for the world, tho!)

(wouldn't trade being tall for the world, tho!) I've seen their catalog...some of their stuff is nice-some of it is more conservative than I'd go...but I bought a pair of yoga pants from them once.
