It was only in the 20s last night and we got the northern lights here. You can handle 20 degree weather, can't you? wink

eek 20? That is like 11 BELOW freezing?

I can say with certainty that I planned my trip perfectly! lol

My car will start in 20 degree weather. Can't always say that about the 11 (or 12) below weather. razz

I haven't seen anything yet tonight, have you? OH...and is the third night tonight or tomorrow night? I haven't seen anything tonight.

I've been watching too and nothing so far. I believe tonight's the 2nd of 3 nights. I hope they're right.

Yeah, nothing on the way home from work tonight. And I even partially cleaned the windshield on my car this time. razz

Me too. But if all we get was last night, I'm grateful. I've never seen anything more visually spectacular.

Down here they were a little faint...it was hard to see them moving and stuff because of the lights. I'm sure it was just amazing where you are. smile
If they're predicting a good show for tomorrow I may head out to the country somewhere to see if they're brighter.

Guys, if you're up and read this in time, you can see them again right now. They're a lot different than the other night. More like shafts of light and what looks like fire flickering on the tips. They're not as bright and they don't have as much shape but there's more movement this time. There's a great view of the moon, Venus and Jupiter too. Lovely!

This was the most extraordinary light show I've ever seen. I kept getting up (until 3:30 am) to watch them in the freezing cold. What a spiritual experience ~ very profound and humbling. It looked like shards of green stained glass poured across the sky with enigmatc swirls of color and space moving above them. Thank you so much for the pictures!

How far North are you Pippet? I am about 1/3 of the way up the Thumb on the Lake Huron shore with Canada directly across. It is beautiful here,
