New Ewan McGregor movie shoots in Detroit this weekend :)

This is the coolest thing and is being shot about 10 min from my house! biggrin

The movie is called "The Island"

Plot Outline: A man (Ewan McGregor) goes on the run after he discovers that he is actually a "harvested being", and is being kept along with others in a utopian facility.

Looks pretty cool, apple!

Reminds me of that 60's television show called Prisoner.

A really bizarre, strage show it was.

The Simpsons did a parody of it in the Mr. X episode.

Homer finds out too much and is sent to "the island" where everyone is assigned a number and keeps trying to break free.

Keep us updated!

I just found out that they changed all of the street signs in Detroit so it would look like a futuristic Los Angeles... sigh Why the heck didn't they just shoot in L.A.?

It's probably cheaper to do it this way.

This was shot right outside of the First National Building...that's where
I was training only 2 weeks ago. My boss told me that he looked out of his 6th floor window last Fri and saw a staged car crash, complete with flames.
Then for lunchtime, they staged a gun fight.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

That could why-even though I don't see how L.A. would be all that more expensive.

If they wanted cheap and futuristic-film in Vancouver like everybody else.
