Look, I have no problem following the rules. but the question becomes why is some adult content permissable and some not. At my job, I can't even log on to the org. At my job I can't even look at the cheerleaders for our local NFL football team. The site is blocked as "Adult Content". If I post a pic of an NFL cheerleader will I get in trouble?

I think people who are offended should simply not look. If the thread says Be Careful, Not Work Safe, etc and you STILL click on the thing...you reap what you sow. Now in all fairness and for the 2nd time, I don't have a problem with the rules or this site. The "org" ROCKS and so do the moderators! I've orgnoted several of them over the past year and commended them for the wonderful job they do. I've also reported several threads/posts that were baiting or flames to try to maintain the "integrity" of the place. Others on this thread have already pointed out the cultural contexts of this issue: In a lot of areas of the world it's no big deal to see a woman's breast or someone's buttocks. In some areas of the world, it is. As I stated, the network at my job automatically "blocks" sites that relate to chatting, gambling, "adult" material (eg NFL cheerleaders) etc.

Secondly, others have pointed to the flaw in the logic that some may be "offended" by the pics, but every other thread in any forum contains "offensive" language in the very title. I've already told several of my acquaintances over the years that they needn't look any further than Prince.org for raunchy discussions about sex. So if this site wants to be morally and politically correct... well you see where I'm heading.

So if you're capable of answering these questions and issues that the people on this thread have raised, then please offer a professional and mature response other than "love it or leave it". If you are not capable, then please don't reply at all...let Ben lay down some clearly defined boundaries because, really, that's all we're asking for. I don't want anyone to get in trouble due to a misinterpretation of the law.

Finally, on the love it or leave it statement. Nice of you to pick a couple of the many statements I've made on this thread to illustrate your question. Anyone would have to just scroll up to find (again and again) the reasons and options given in lieu of the images posted by other orgers and myself. A simple link is requested. I never clipped the link, just the photo. Are people really this upset because they have to click a link?

I wish this were more simple... but I've been here long enough to know that things aren't that always as easy as they could be.
