Have Any of You Ever Had to Take a Personality Assessment Test for a Job You Were Interviewing For? aka a "cuckoo test" as I call it. Luckily, I have only had to take a personality assessment test twice for two different jobs, but never again. I didn't get called for an interview, so I assumed I failed the test and/or wasn't what they were looking for. I feel these personality tests are a waste of time anyway, since I have over 20 years of experience in my field, and can run rings around anybody else doing the same job. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Must be. I understand that companies may be looking for a certain type of person who they feel would be a good fit for their company, blah, blah, blah, but I would think skills and experience should play a bigger part in the decision making. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

i took an online test for west publishing here in minnesota. once of the questions (simplified) was: "suppose you had a great idea for how to implement a totally new strategy with regard to work. do you a) present your idea to your boss?; or b) go ahead and implement the new strategy on your own and tell your boss later?
i chose b because i've learned the hard way that employers don't like to be surprised by my creative approaches to poblem solving. but nooooo. the 'correct' answer was 'a' i realized in short order i'm better off not working at west. ..

I agree, I feel any company that is more interested in your personality than what your skills are and what you can bring to the company is not worth working for. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

thankfully i did not have to submit one but one place i worked for required certain positions to give a handwritting sample
i have ok handwritting but i don't want to be evaluated on my intellect based on the size of my "l" loops or the slant of my "t's"
